Terms of Service

maviecut turns a written prompt into a motion video. You can edit the result in the editor, apply a brand kit, and export it as a video file. Generation and chat edits are done by AI models, and each paid action shows the most it can cost in credits before it runs.

We keep improving maviecut, so features may change, be added or be removed. If we remove something that is part of a paid plan, we'll tell you in advance.

• You must be at least 16 years old, or older where the law of your country requires it, to create an account.
• Sign in with your own email address or Google account. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so keep access to your email secure.
• An account is for one person. Don't share it, sell it or create accounts to collect extra free credits.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

There is no free plan. A new account gets a one-time free trial of welcome credits, with no card needed, once per email address. When they run out, you top up or subscribe to keep creating. Generating a video, editing it by chat and exporting in 1080p cost credits, as shown on the pricing page. When a generation or a chat edit starts, we reserve the most it can cost, charge what it actually uses and return the rest. A chat edit is only charged if it changes your video. Failed generations are fully refunded.

• Paid plans are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• A plan's credits are granted each month, on monthly and yearly plans alike, and expire at the end of that month. Plan credits are used before top-up credits. Top-up credits don't expire while your account is open.
• During the free trial, exports are 720p with a watermark. Your first top-up or plan removes both limits for good.
• Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred to another account and can't be exchanged for money, except through a refund under the Refund Policy.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments (dodopayments.com). Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for all our orders, and handles payment questions, refunds and cancellations.

When you buy a plan or credits, you buy them from Dodo Payments, and Dodo Payments? buyer terms apply to the purchase as well as these terms. Dodo Payments collects the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT due in your country and sends your receipts and invoices. Prices are in US dollars, or in your local currency where we set a price for your country.

• Upgrading credits unused subscription time toward a new billing cycle. Once payment succeeds, the new plan's monthly credits replace unused subscription credits.
• Downgrading takes effect at your next renewal, with no charge. Until then you keep your current plan and its credits, and the renewal grants the new plan's.
• You can cancel at any time from Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which gives you 14 days to ask for a full refund, or a partial one if you've used some of the credits.

Your content is the prompts you write, the files you upload (such as logos and images), your brand kits and the videos you make. You keep all the rights you have in it. As far as the law allows, you own the videos you create with maviecut.

You give us permission to store, process and display your content only as needed to run maviecut for you: to generate and render your videos, keep your projects, and show them to you. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies kept for a limited time in backups.

If you publish a video to the public gallery, you also let us show it and its prompt to anyone on maviecut until you unpublish it.

You must have the rights to everything you upload, including logos, trademarks, images and people's likenesses.

Don't use maviecut to create, upload or share:

• anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
• sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises minors;
• sexually explicit or pornographic content;
• content that harasses, threatens or promotes violence or hatred against people;
• deceptive content that impersonates a real person or organisation, or presents false information as real news;
• realistic depictions of real people doing or saying things they didn't, without their consent;
• malware, spam or phishing material.

Also don't try to get around credit limits or security, overload or disrupt the service, scrape it, or resell access to it without our written agreement.

We may remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend or close accounts that break them seriously or repeatedly.

Videos are made by AI models from your prompt. The output can contain mistakes, may not match what you intended, and may look similar to videos made for other people. Check each video before you use or publish it. You're responsible for how you use it.

You can stop using maviecut and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes your projects, brand kits, uploads and remaining credits, as described in the Privacy Policy. Cancel any active plan in Billing first so it doesn't renew.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires us to. Unless the breach is serious, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. If we close your account for reasons other than a breach of these terms, we'll refund any unused, prepaid part of your plan.

maviecut is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and correct, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or suited to a particular purpose.

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost business opportunities. Our total liability to you for any claim about maviecut is limited to the amount you paid for maviecut in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away any rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

These terms are governed by the law of Mozambique, and the courts of Mozambique deal with any dispute about them. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and can bring a claim in its courts.

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change materially affects you, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using maviecut after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account.
