Refund Policy
Last updated 6 October 2026
Payments for maviecut are processed by Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record, so refunds are issued by Dodo Payments to the payment method you used. This policy explains when you can get one and how to ask.
1. 14-day refunds
You can ask for a refund within 14 days of any payment: your first plan payment, a renewal, or a top-up.
- If you haven't used any credits from that payment, you get a full refund.
- If you have, we refund the share you haven't used. For example, if you used 40 of 150 credits, you get back 110/150 of what you paid.
Credits from your plan are used before top-up credits. We don't ask why you want a refund. When the refund goes through, the credits from that payment are removed from your balance and, for a plan, your subscription ends.
2. Upgrades and downgrades
Upgrading starts a new billing cycle, with a credit for unused subscription time. You can ask for that charge back within 14 days, on the same terms as section 1, and your account returns to the plan you had before. Downgrading takes effect at your next renewal, has no charge, and doesn't refund the rest of the current period.
3. Cancelling
You can cancel your plan at any time from Billing. Cancelling stops future renewals; your plan and its credits stay active until the end of the period you've paid for. Outside the 14-day window, cancelling doesn't refund the current period.
4. How to ask for a refund
- Write to us from the contact page, choosing Billing and refunds, from the email address on your account. Include the order number from your Dodo Payments receipt if you have it.
- Or ask Dodo Payments directly at support@dodopayments.com.
We answer within two business days. Once approved, Dodo Payments sends the money back to your original payment method, which usually takes 5 to 10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.
5. When we may refuse
We may refuse a refund if we see clear signs of abuse, such as repeated buy-and-refund cycles or an account closed for breaking our Terms of Service. If your payment is disputed with your bank while a refund request is open, the dispute replaces the request.
6. Your legal rights
This policy adds to your rights as a consumer; it doesn't replace them. If the law of your country gives you more, such as the right to a refund for a service that doesn't work as described, those rights apply.
If you're in the EU, EEA or UK, you ask at checkout for your credits to be available straight away. Your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal ends once you start using them. Section 1 still applies either way.
